50 Cent Shares 6 Beauty & Life Lessons

50 Cent sat down with Elle Magazine to share 6 beauty & life lessons and chat about Frigo underwear. The G-Unit mogul talked about skin care, spot training, sex appeal, and why he will never star on a dating show.

Don’t post underwear pics on Instagram:

“That’s the photograph that you send to someone that you’re talking to. That’s a text message, not a public post. If you’re going to send that, send that to someone specific, not for the general public to just view. The only part of underwear that matters is the waistband. If you Google ‘male model’ right now, they’ll show you a guy that has his clothes off to his torso”.

There’s no such thing as a spot thing:

“I think you should be training your whole body. All that spot training, people who want abs will go in there and start focusing on all of the stomach stuff, and until you decrease body fat you’re not going to see it. I think the cardio, when you implement it, you’ll start to see everything. Guys that are really low in body fat and they start concentrating on their ab area will obviously be a little more defined. It’s a process, but to get to that point it’s just overall training”.

Be a beauty minimalist:

“I am the actual guy from the pictures. I don’t wear makeup unless I’m in a film. All of the photographs you see of me are no makeup, and then when I got to doing the film projects, because they’re putting stuff on, I would take it off with the different machines and the exfoliation. I don’t want to ruin my skin from that experience. I use Dove soap because I don’t like to use soap that has scent. If you have any type of dermatologist they would probably advise that you have regular soap with none of that fragrant stuff or chemicals. I just really started separating what moisturizer I use for my face from what I use for everything else. Because men operate a lot different from women. I’m simple. For me the cocoa butter can go wherever I need the cocoa butter to go”.

Never appear on a dating show:

“I’m not really into that. I’ve seen people make the choice to do it and most of them are at a space where anything that would work would be okay. When you reach that point where there’s nothing else there, then maybe you do that because that network wants something like that. How could you even choose? If you look at the people I’ve previously dated or hung out with, I’ve actually been in the area or the environment that they were in for us to make some sort of interaction that I felt was natural. To put 12 people here that are here for the specific reason of raising their profile, their financial situation following this, is enhancing, because as soon as they’re done with the show, they’re going to be hosting things and doing all sorts of stuff”.

Ask yourself “21 Questions” when
evaluating love:

“Those questions are all related to tradition and relationships. “If I fell off tomorrow would you still love me?” That’s saying if I didn’t sustain a good position in finance or in the workspace, would you still be my friend? It’s just hypothetical scenarios of if these scenarios took place would we still be together. “If I didn’t smell so good, would you still hug me?” You can do things for people that you care about and not even have an issue. Say a person is sick and they’ve been in the hospital for a while, you don’t smell anything when you hug them. You get right past whatever else because of your feelings for that person. I think the biggest thing in relationships is can you tell the truth? Confidence is the sexiest trait a person can possess. If they’re not confident enough, they won’t offer exactly who they are. You’ll get a remix, a piece of it”.

Be your own boss:

“The most successful people that I
know, even the heads of Fortune 500
companies, the biggest losses they’ve taken in their lives have been investments in friendship. The toughest thing to do would be to be a good judge of character, to know someone else. And then the only time it works is when you want the same thing. So if you can’t really know how people will respond in different circumstances you can’t be tired. There’s nothing you can achieve in business, there’s nothing you can achieve in your creativity that can create that type of relationship and friendship for you. You just have to be open, and communicate with people and have a moment. You heard the phrase, ‘That’s a good look’? That means it’s good for perception, a good marketing idea. I have no boss. I run the show myself, goddammit”.

On Frigo Underwear:

“You know how you have these plus-size models in ad campaigns now and they’re still sexy and they’re still beautiful? That only flies for women. They don’t do that for men. The Wonderbra of men’s underwear, Frigos are outfitted with an adjustable pouch designed to maximize the wearer’s, uh…assets”.
