[MOVIE] Captain America 3: Director teases opening scene and explains Ultron’s effect on Civil War storyline

Captain America: Civil War is going to take off
from where Avengers: Age of Ultron left, confirm
the film’s director-duo Anthony and Joe Russo.
During a recent interview, they shed some light
on how the eagerly-awaited superhero film
begins.
“We like to say that the amount of time that has
passed in between films is the amount of time
that has passed in the movies,” Russo told
ComicBook. “So, it’s about that amount time. We
find Cap leading the Avengers. He’s tutoring or
mentoring Scarlet Witch in the beginning of the
movie and bringing her into the fold.”

The director also teased that the heroes will be
seen in action right at the start of the film, before
sharing how the events from Age of Ultron affect
the storyline of Captain America 3.
“We find them on a mission at the start of the
film. The effect that Ultron has had on everyone
certainly is central to the storytelling of the
movie. It’s very strong. We’re dealing with issues
of collateral damage, imperialism, what rights do
super heroes have to pursue villains across
borders. It’s very politically minded. Cap’s dealing
with all of that at the beginning.”
At the end of Age of Ultron, the new Avengers
roster consisted of Cap, Vision, Scarlet Witch, War
Machine, Black Widow and Falcon. Captain
America: Civil War opens in theatres on 6 May
2016.
